Privacy Policy
SURE ("we", "us") helps schools develop teaching quality from ordinary lesson recordings. This policy explains what we collect through this website and how the platform treats classroom data. We built the product privacy-first, and this page is written to be read, not skimmed past.
What we collect on this site
Through our forms, only what you type in: your name, work email, role, and school or organisation when you request a walkthrough, subscribe to the research series, or request a PDF. We use it to respond to you, send the research you asked for, and arrange the conversations you request. The research mailing list receives research and nothing else. We do not sell personal information.
Analytics and cookies
We use analytics tools and cookies to understand how this site is used, so we can keep improving it. We don't use them for advertising, and we don't link them to what you type into our forms.
You can block or delete these cookies through your browser settings at any time. The site works the same without them.
Classroom recordings on the SURE platform
The platform's rules are architectural, not just policy, and they are the same ones published on our homepage:
- Recording is teacher-initiated. Nothing records without the teacher starting it.
- Student data is never captured and is always masked. The system observes teaching, not children.
- The individual Class Insight Report reaches the teacher and no one else. Leadership sees aggregate patterns only: never a ranking, never an individual.
- If something wasn't in the recording, nobody is asked to supply it.
Legal frameworks
Recording, consent, and retention were designed around India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (2023), FERPA (United States), and the GDPR, researched before the recording feature was built and not retrofitted. Platform deployments operate under a written agreement with each school, including a data processing agreement that governs roles, retention, and deletion.
Retention and deletion
Website form data is kept only as long as it is relevant to the conversation you started; ask us and we will delete it. Platform data retention is governed by the school's agreement, and deletion requests are honoured under it.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Reach us through any form on this site, or , and we will act on it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it, and material changes will be noted plainly on this page.
